Why these rows are not a price comparison

The Beijing rows show consultation access routes. The Guangzhou row shows a bundled screening package with different contents for men and women. Ranking the rows from “cheapest” to “most expensive” would be meaningless because they buy different things.

1. The access route can change the consultation fee substantially within one hospital.
2. A consultation fee is only one line in a visit bill.

The Shanghai government profile for Huashan Hospital identifies international services, English availability, contact details, and organizations associated with direct-pay services. The profile reviewed for this page does not publish a consultation or treatment price.

That is useful access and payment evidence, but it is not a price. Until an official page identifies a figure and scope, Shanghai remains a documented coverage gap in this dataset.

Treatment and inpatient costs

We did not find a public national price that can answer questions such as “What will surgery cost?” or “What will a three-day admission cost?” A defensible estimate would need at least the hospital, campus, department, clinician or route, proposed service, room category, likely tests, medicines, implants or consumables, and deposit terms.
